EXPAT MONEY REFUND, CANCELLATION, AND PAYMENT DISPUTE POLICY
Last Updated: May 2026
This Refund, Cancellation, and Payment Dispute Policy cover all Expat Money products, services, memberships, events, trips, tours, consulting programs, digital products, and other offerings. The policy applies regardless of the purchase method.
By purchasing any Expat Money offering, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy. This Policy forms part of the client’s purchase terms and applies in addition to any invoice, service agreement, membership agreement, event terms, website terms, or other written agreement issued by Expat Money.
GENERAL REFUND PRINCIPLE
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all fees paid to Expat Money are non-refundable and considered earned upon receipt. This is because resources, professional time, administrative preparation, supplier coordination, access to proprietary materials, and opportunity costs are allocated immediately or soon after purchase.
Expat Money does not provide refunds where a client changes their mind, changes their plans, loses interest, is unable to attend, does not use the purchased product or service, fails to respond, experiences delays, or is dissatisfied with available options, timing, personnel, advice, outcomes, or results.
Expat Money’s offerings are process-based, access-based, or experience-based. Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement signed by Expat Money, no product, service, membership, event, trip, programs, or consulting engagement is sold with a guaranteed result.
EVENTS, CONFERENCES, SUMMITS, AND LIVE EXPERIENCES
For eligible in-person events, Expat Money will provide a full refund only if the request is submitted in writing to trips@expatmoney.com at least one hundred twenty (120) calendar days before the event start date. The refund depends on when Expat Money receives the written request.
Refund requests submitted less than one hundred twenty (120) calendar days before the event start date are not eligible. This policy is necessary due to considerable advance costs and commitments incurred by Expat Money, including:
-
Venue, food, beverage, and production commitments;
-
Staffing, speaker, vendor, and logistics arrangements;
-
Administrative preparation and capacity planning based on confirmed attendance.
If the client cannot or does not attend the event for any reason, Expat Money will not provide a refund. This includes, without limitation, travel issues, visa issues, illness, emergencies, work or family changes, scheduling conflicts, financial issues, complaints regarding the event, or travel rules affecting the client.
Expat Money may modify event schedules, speakers, agendas, venues, formats, or programming when necessary. These changes do not entitle purchasers to a refund. At its discretion, Expat Money may offer a transfer, a substitution, a credit, or an alternate arrangement. Any accommodation is discretionary, not guaranteed, and does not establish a precedent.
ONLINE EVENTS, ONLINE SUMMITS, WEBINARS, AND DIGITAL EVENT ACCESS
All paid tickets, upgrades, passes, recordings, replays, virtual summits, webinars, and online event access are non-refundable. This rule exists because these purchases may provide immediate access to proprietary content, recordings, private sessions, downloadable materials, community access, or other digital benefits.
When Expat Money provides free access, previews, sample content, or a 'try before you buy' option, purchasers acknowledge they had the chance to evaluate the offering before purchase.
Refunds will not be issued for missed live sessions, not viewing recordings, technical issues with personal devices or internet, calendar conflicts, or dissatisfaction with the content.
TRIPS, TOURS, DELEGATIONS, AND IN-PERSON COUNTRY EXPERIENCES
For in-person trips and tours, the client may only receive a full refund if the client submits a written request by email to trips@expatmoney.com at least 120 days before the scheduled trip date. The date and time on which Expat Money receives the refund request will determine the client’s refund eligibility.
If the client requests a refund less than 120 days before the scheduled trip date, no refund will be provided, as Expat Money may have already incurred costs, made commitments with partners, and completed planning arrangements for the trip.
Depending on the trip or tour, Expat Money may, at its sole discretion, offer one of the following alternatives if a refund is not available. The exercise of this discretion is case-by-case and will depend regarding operational, vendor, and program factors at the time the request is made.
-
A one-time rescheduling to a future trip or tour;
-
Transfer to a comparable trip or tour;
-
A credit toward another eligible Expat Money experience.
Rescheduling, transfers, or credits are subject to availability, operational practicability, destination rules, vendor limitations, price differences, and written approval from Expat Money. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, approved credits or rescheduling must be used within twelve (12) months of the first trip or tour date.
Some costs are always non-refundable. These include deposits, third-party vendor commitments, government fees, legal, immigration, banking or processing fees, translation, apostille, courier or legalization costs, payment processing fees, and any travel-related expenses incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for making sure they can travel and for obtaining all required documents, insurance, and authorizations.
Panama Fly’n Buy Tour
All payments, including deposits, are completely nonrefundable. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend the tour date you originally booked, you may be credited for a future tour date.
MEMBERSHIPS, CONSULTING PROGRAMS, AND PRIVATE CLIENT SERVICES
Expat Money memberships, consulting programs, and similar access-based offerings use a value-based, flat-fee model. Fees are not billed hourly. They also do not depend on achieving a specific outcome.
Membership and consulting programs fees are non-refundable and considered earned upon receipt. Immediate value is delivered through access to critical guidance, proprietary research, international networks, planning support, consulting sessions, exclusive content, introductions, community access, and private resources.
Partial refunds, credits, or reimbursements will not be issued for unused time, missed calls, unused benefits, reduced engagement, failure to access the platform, missed sessions, early termination, failure to act on recommendations, dissatisfaction with available options, or changes in personal, financial, business, or travel circumstances.
Expat Money memberships and consulting programs do not guarantee specific legal, tax, immigration, banking, investment, lifestyle, relocation, business, or personal results. Purchasers acknowledge that outcomes depend on factors beyond Expat Money’s control. These factors include personal decisions, third-party approvals, legal frameworks, government processes, market conditions, banking rules, institutional discretion, and changes in requirements.
SERVICES DIVISION: RESIDENCY, BANKING, LEGAL, AND RELATED SERVICES
All service fees paid to Expat Money in connection with residency support, immigration coordination, banking assistance, company formation, legal coordination, structuring support, document preparation, due diligence assistance, offshore services, or related professional and administrative services are non-refundable and deemed earned upon receipt. This stands unless a separate written agreement signed by Expat Money says otherwise.
Work may begin immediately upon engagement. This can include reviewing client information, allocating resources, setting up the case, preparing instructions, reviewing documents, and liaising with partners, vendors, banks, professionals, or authorities. Strategic planning and scheduling may also start right away.
The purchaser understands that Expat Money's services are process-based and support-oriented. Payment covers guidance, coordination, preparation, administrative support, strategic assistance, and execution support within a defined scope. It does not guarantee a specific result.
Expat Money does not guarantee:
-
Residency, citizenship, banking, government, or institutional approvals;
-
Company formation timelines, processing schedules, or response times from third parties;
-
Tax, legal, investment, immigration, commercial, or banking outcomes;
-
Acceptance by banks, governments, registries, authorities, institutions, vendors, or third-party professionals.
A delay, denial, rejection, request for additional information, change in requirements, adverse decision, refusal, or lack of response from a third party does not entitle the purchaser to a refund.
The client is responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely information. They must submit all required documents in the requested format, obtain necessary apostilles, legalizations, translations, certifications, and supporting records, attend required appointments, reply promptly to communications, follow Expat Money's instructions, and disclose any relevant criminal, tax, financial, immigration, compliance, or personal history that may affect the matter.
If the client provides incorrect, missing, false, outdated, or incomplete information, Expat Money may stop, pause, or refuse the service. Any fees paid shall remain non-refundable. If the client withdraws, fails to respond, does not provide required documents, misses deadlines, or otherwise abandons the matter, Expat Money’s fees shall be deemed earned and will not be refunded.
Third-party fees and expenses are always non-refundable. These may include:
-
Government, bank, immigration, registry, or filing fees;
-
Legalization, apostille, notarization, translation, certification, or courier fees;
-
Local counsel, vendor, professional, or third-party service provider fees;
-
Payment processing, travel, accommodation, transportation, or appointment-related expenses.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, third-party fees are separate from Expat Money's professional or service fees.
Services are limited to the scope agreed upon at engagement. Unless specifically included in writing, Expat Money does not provide unlimited consultations, unlimited calls or messages, open-ended support, tax advice, investment advice, litigation representation, government appeals, additional applications, jurisdictions, entities, dependents, bank applications, structures, or continuing compliance support after the agreed scope is completed. Any additional work may require a separate engagement and additional fees.
DIGITAL PRODUCTS, COURSES, DOWNLOADS, AND ONLINE CONTENT
All purchases of digital products are final and non-refundable. This includes reports, guides, templates, courses, recordings, replays, downloadable materials, online trainings, private digital libraries, paid newsletters, member-only resources, and similar digital materials.
Due to the nature of digital products and the possibility of immediate access to intellectual property, no refund will be granted after purchase, regardless of whether the purchaser accesses, downloads, views, completes, or uses the content.
CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
By purchasing from Expat Money, the purchaser agrees to contact Expat Money first at support@expatmoney.com before initiating any chargeback, payment dispute, reversal, claim, or similar process with a bank, card issuer, payment processor, financing provider, or third-party platform.
The purchaser acknowledges that this Policy is part of the purchase terms. Violating this Policy by initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may result in immediate suspension or termination of access, services, memberships, deliverables, or participation. Expat Money may also seek recovery of outstanding amounts, chargeback fees, administrative costs, collection costs, and legal fees permitted by law.
Additionally, Expat Money may submit purchase records, invoices, communications, access logs, service records, signed agreements, and this Policy to the relevant bank, card issuer, payment processor, collection agency, legal representative, or dispute resolution provider.
CANCELLATIONS BY EXPAT MONEY
If Expat Money cancels an event, trip, tour, membership, service, or offering for reasons within its reasonable control, it may, at its discretion, offer a rescheduled date, substitute, credit for a future offering, or a refund of eligible amounts paid.
Expat Money is not responsible for airfare, accommodation, transportation, travel expenses, insurance costs, lost wages, opportunity costs, exchange rate losses, or any other indirect, incidental, consequential, or third-party losses incurred by the purchaser.
FORCE MAJEURE
Expat Money is not liable for any failure, delay, modification, postponement, or cancellation resulting from events beyond its reasonable control. These events include natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, border closures, civil unrest, war, terrorism, strikes, vendor or venue failures, transportation or technology disruptions, banking restrictions, legal or regulatory changes, or similar circumstances.
In these situations, Expat Money may, at its sole discretion, offer a rescheduled date, credit, a transfer, a substitute service, a modified delivery method, or another alternative option. Refunds are only provided if required by applicable law.
GOODWILL ACCOMMODATIONS
Expat Money may, at its sole discretion, offer a credit, transfer, extension, substitution, or other goodwill accommodation. These accommodations remain discretionary, non-transferable unless approved in writing, and do not create a legal obligation, modify this Policy, waive Expat Money’s rights, establish a precedent, or entitle other purchasers to similar treatment.
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER AGREEMENTS
This Policy supplements any invoice, checkout terms, service agreement, membership agreement, event terms, website terms, or other written agreement between the purchaser and Expat Money.
If a separate written agreement signed by Expat Money includes a more specific refund, cancellation, or payment provision, that provision will take precedence for that engagement. Otherwise, this Policy applies.
LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit or exclude any non-waivable consumer rights that may apply under applicable law. Where mandatory law requires a refund, cancellation right, or remedy that cannot be waived, Expat Money will comply with such law to the extent required.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, all refunds, credits, transfers, and remedies remain subject to the limitations stated in this Policy.
CONTACT AND REFUND REQUEST PROCEDURE
All refund requests must be submitted in writing. Refund requests related to trips, tours, events, conferences, summits, and live experiences must be sent to trips@expatmoney.com. General refund or policy questions may be directed to support@expatmoney.com.
Verbal requests, informal comments, social media messages, text messages, or communications sent to unrelated channels may not be treated as valid refund requests. The purchaser is responsible for making sure that any refund request is sent to the correct email address and received within the applicable refund period.
FINAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By purchasing any Expat Money product, service, membership, event, trip, tour, digital product, programs, consulting engagement, or other offering, the purchaser confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.
The purchaser further acknowledges that most Expat Money offerings are non-refundable, that services are process-based and not outcome-guaranteed, that third-party costs are non-refundable, and that any refund, credit, transfer, substitution, or goodwill accommodation is available only where expressly stated in this Policy or approved in writing by Expat Money.
