Costa Rica Investor Visa
Secure Residency in One of Latin America's Most Established Plan-B Destinations
Costa Rica has attracted expats, investors, and families for decades thanks to its stability, territorial tax system, strong property rights, and exceptional quality of life.
With a qualifying investment*, you can secure legal residency in a country that works as both a practical Plan-B and a place to experience a real quality lifestyle.
*Minimum qualifying investment: $150,000 USD, subject to Costa Rican immigration requirements and proper documentation of the qualifying investment.
Why Costa Rica Has Been Drawing Expats for Decades
-
Territorial Taxation: Costa Rica generally taxes local-source rather than foreign-source income, which can make it attractive for internationally structured investors, entrepreneurs and retirees.
-
Strong Property Rights: Foreigners can own titled property outright, making it possible to combine residency with a home or investment you actually want to own.
-
Easy To Build Into Your Life: Direct flights, North American time zones, established expat communities, private healthcare and a wide range of climates make Costa Rica easy to use as either a second base or a future home.
