Head of Strategic Partnerships

 

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly connected, results-driven Head of Strategic Partnerships whose primary objective is to create strategic relationships that generate clients, expand our audience, and increase the visibility of our leadership team.

This is not an administrative role. We are looking for someone who is proactive, resourceful, well-networked, and comfortable building relationships with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, influencers, podcast hosts, media professionals, and strategic partners.

Success in this role will be measured by partnerships created, clients generated, audience growth, and media opportunities secured.


Key Responsibilities


1. Client Partnership Acquisitions

  • Build strategic partnerships that directly generate qualified leads and high-net-worth clients for the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, approach, and develop relationships with:

  1. Real estate agents and brokers
  2. Wealth advisors and financial professionals
  3. International business consultants
  4. Tax and legal professionals
  5. High-net-worth communities and investor networks
  6. Other referral partners aligned with our audience

  • Build and manage long-term referral and affiliate relationships.
  • Create partnership initiatives that generate qualified leads and clients.
  • Negotiate and coordinate partnership agreements.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of strategic partners and referral sources.

Success Metrics:

  • Qualified leads generated
  • Client referrals received
  • Revenue generated through partnerships
  • Active referral partners

2. Influencer, Affiliate & Audience Growth Partnerships

Build relationships with influencers and podcast/YouTube hosts to generate high-quality leads and expand brand awareness for Mikkel and Expat Money.

Responsibilities include:

  • Make advertising deals with influencers, content creators, media personalities, newsletters, communities, and organizations aligned with our target audience.
  • Develop long-term influencer and affiliate partnerships.
  • Secure opportunities to promote our podcast, webinars, online events, and content.
  • Coordinate sponsored collaborations, affiliate campaigns, and audience-sharing initiatives.
  • Continuously identify new channels and partnerships that increase brand visibility and reach.

Success Metrics:

  • New influencer partnerships established
  • Affiliate partners recruited
  • Audience growth generated through partnerships
  • Promotional campaigns executed
  • Leads generated from influencer and affiliate channels

3. Media, Podcast & Speaking Engagements

  • Ensure that the 3 main Senior Leadership Team Members (Mikkel, Marc and Ryan) are consistently featured before relevant audiences through podcasts, speaking engagements, webinars, summits, and media appearances.

Responsibilities include:

  • Secure podcast interviews, speaking engagements, webinars, summits, and media appearances.
  • Conduct outreach to podcast hosts, event organizers, conference producers, journalists, and media contacts.
  • Keep a consistent calendar of podcast interviews, speaking engagements, webinars, and media appearances.
  • Coordinate booking logistics and follow-up communications.
  • Track outreach efforts, opportunities, confirmations, and results.

Success Metrics:

  • Podcast interviews booked
  • Speaking engagements secured
  • Webinar and summit appearances confirmed
  • Media placements obtained
  • Monthly booking targets achieved

Required Experience

  • Experience in business development, partnerships, affiliate marketing, sales, public relations, podcast booking, marketing, or media outreach.
  • Proven track record of creating partnerships and generating business opportunities.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with entrepreneurs, investors, business owners, or affluent audiences is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • English must be your first language (a second language is a plus!)
  • Comfortable with outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone, and social media.

  • Being an expat or digital nomad and/or having familiarity with the offshore space is a strong plus.
